Cindy Buchanan
Studio Owner & Yoga Instructor
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, Reiki Master, Restorative and Yin Yoga certified, Trauma Informed, Sound Healing, and Shamanic Practitioner.
She lives locally with her husband Paul, has two sons named Cole and Tyler, and a menagerie of pets, including “Cuddles” the guinea pig, and her sister “Chatterbox”.
Cynthia (or Cindy) began navigating the layers of self at the early age of 12. First, using dance to explore healing, she found solace and freedom in spinning and flying through the air- leading her all the way to the Boston Conservatory dance program. After a brief time as a professional dancer, the desire to dive deeper into soul and energy work led her onto the path of Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga in 2010. She used yoga and meditation at that time to help navigate through clinical depression and anxiety, and knows she owes the amazing quality of life she experiences today to the numerous gifts of healing these modalities provide. Recently, Cindy received her Soulmonic Sound Healing training from Shamanic Sound Healing practitioner Three Trees, as well as completed a Shamanic Healing Training/Mesa Building under Lineages Wisdom School under Three Trees and Greta Hough.
She desires to express gratitude by paying forward the knowledge of the weaving together of all of these practices – to create a safe, nurturing, and loving space for anyone to realize their own innate gifts, to foster connection and strength of mind, body, and spirit, and to nurture a sense of peace and power within that can be carried out of Shine On and far into the world.
